Carol Perrin

Owner, Manager, RN BSN, Lactation Specialist

Carol is a registered nurse and Lactation Specialist. For the past eight years she has worked in the women's health care field, most recently with Planned Parenthood of the Columbia Willamette. Prior to this she was a mother-baby nurse and part of the lactation team at a Portland area hospital. She is presently working towards obtaining International Board Certification as a Lactation Consultant. Previous volunteer experience includes working with homeless teens and mentoring teenage girls with in the foster care system.

Carol lives in North Portland and is the mother of a son, Sam (born 2003). It was during her own pregnancy that she discovered a lack of resources and awareness for the pregnant woman experiencing anxiety and depression. She was not the "blissful, glowing pregnant woman" she was expecting (and expected) to be. Because of this challenging and isolating experience she feels passionately about bringing awareness to and providing resources for women, their families, and the public surrounding the issues of anxiety and depression that can, and do occur during pregnancy.
