Kristen Olberz

Kristen graduated from nursing school in 1994 and became a Certified Hypnotherapist in 1998. She has been empowering women and families as a birth nurse since 1997 and teaching HypnoBirthing® since 1998. She became certified in HypnoBirthing® Fertility Therapy in 2005. She currently works at Providence Portland Medical Center as well as teaching classes and working privately with clients.

Kristen originally hails from Loo-a-vull, Kentucky, but finds Portland more to her style. She currently lives in a house with huge windows and three feisty cats. Her dream is to build a farmhouse in the woods next to a creek, raise children and live sustainably.

Kristen found her calling and interest for working in women's health as an adolescent. At some point, she just knew she wanted to be present for families during their birthings, facilitating and choreographing. Since then, she continues to work hard advocating for and empowering women by reminding them of their natural birthright and instincts as well as instilling confidence in their innate abilities.
