Class Descriptions
Prenatal Yoga ~ Be nurtured during your pregnancy with this gentle and relaxing class. Whether you are an experienced yogi or brand new to yoga, this class is a great way to build and maintain the flexibility and strength you and your baby deserve. Come together with fellow expecting mamas and discover postures to prepare and support your body, and mediation and breathing techniques to enhance your spirit. Wednesdays at 5:30pm and Sundays at 9:30am.
Yoga for Everyone ~ Slow down things down and focus on gaining strength and flexibility in Yoga for Everyone. This specially-designed class offers strength-building postures and restorative techniques that support injuries, pregnancy and the basic need to relax, energize and recharge. Everyone from beginners to seasoned yogis are welcome! Mondays at 5:30pm.
Vinyasa Yoga ~ If you like to move and groove with your yoga then this is the class for you. Vinyasa means "breath-synchronized movement" which in yoga translates to flowing one breath with one movement. Riding the wave of your breath from posture to posture builds internal heat and keeps you moving during this invigorating class. Fridays at 5:30pm.
Pilates ~Tone and strengthen your body with this mat Pilates class. Designed to focus on breath work, spinal and pelvic alignment, core muscle group stabilization and better access to your energy center – your core! All welcome. Thursdays at 5:30pm and Saturdays at 9:30am.
Kid's Yoga ~In this class, kids ages 2-12 will stretch their bodies and minds while learning about emotional regulation and mindfulness. Each class will open with a brief mindfulness exercise and a few sun salutations to warm up the body. Next, our young yoginis will take an imaginative journey to a fun location, such as the zoo, the ocean, or a castle! What we encounter along the way will become a yoga pose. For instance, we might practice warrior poses while pretending to ride horses around the castle. Each class will close with a few blissful minutes of quiet relaxation in mindfulness. Zenana Spa’s Kids Yoga is informed by Imagination Yoga and Mindful Life Yoga; the instructor is certified in both of these kids yoga programs. Parents are welcome to observe and/or participate in class!
Community Class ~ Through the month of February come experience the Zenana Spa and Wellness Center Studio with our free, weekly community class held each Saturday. Classes and instructors rotate weekly. Saturdays at 11:00am.
