Zenana Spa and Wellness Center has an exciting lineup of classes and groups, and more are being added all the time! Read about the latest class additions: Baby Itsy Bitsy Yoga® ages: newborn to almost crawling baby with a parent or caregiver During the BABY IBY class, the baby is mostly lying on their tummy, back or in a parent’s arms. For parents, this class gives the special time necessary to bond with and learn about your baby's emerging personality. Most of the yoga we do in Itsy Bitsy Yoga is for the child, but you will learn breathing and relaxation techniques as well as practice some yoga for yourself (no yoga experience required). Itsy Bitsy Yoga Facilitators are highly trained in seeing the Yoga in each child. You and your baby will delight in practicing Yoga, discovering movement, and singing IBY rhymes together. You will learn Yoga together through repetition, play, and bonding. Connected Parenting Workshop Two part class - held on two consecutive Tuesday mornings This workshop is focused on the primacy of connection in parenting children of all ages and on parenting without punishments or rewards. Look deeply past difficult behaviors to discover the underlying needs of our children (and ourselves), and begin to use concrete tools to respond effectively to parenting challenges. Incorporates concepts from the work of Alfie Kohn, Lawrence J. Cohen, Dr. Gordon Nuefeld, and Mary Sheedy Kurchinka as well as the professional and personal experience of Lyla and Emily. "Connected Parenting with Lyla and Emily is phenomenal. We just did that workshop last weekend and while we came away feeling a little concerned about our current parenting, we also got motivated, energized, supported and became far more positive in our approach with our 3 year old. we immediately saw some results. Facilitated by: To Register: Cancellation Policy: Couple's Massage Class Friday March 23rd - Intro, Saturday March 24th Touch is a powerful way to communicate a deep sense of caring for one another. It is an essential ingredient, a private language, so-to-speak, between two people. This touch intelligence can affect the inner workings and rhythm within any relationship. In the couples massage class you’ll expand your skills and increase your touch intelligence and tailor-make your approach to meet your partner’s needs. Does one partner seem distracted when massaging you, or going into irritating repetitions, or hurting you by not knowing his or her own strength? Perhaps your partner is touching too superficially to be satisfying, not really reaching you, or even worse…the T-word, tickling you? In this class we’ll explore how touch is influenced by being present. It can take an ordinary rub-a-dub-dub to a more profound level and create a new level of trust between the two of you. Learn to turn a cranky partner back into your loving partner with some simple techniques. The introductory couples massage class will be held on Friday evening, March 23rd, 7:00- 8:30pm. We will be focusing on the head, scalp, face, and neck. Please avoid wearing make up, hair products, or perfume. Please wear comfortable clothing and bring a pillow and blanket. A five hour workshop for couples massage will be held the following day, Saturday, March 24th, 1:00-6:00pm. You will be learning how to give your partner a full body Swedish massage. Class limited to six couples. CEU’s are available to L.M.T.’s upon request. Cost:Introductory class $35 per couple Saturday workshop $125 per couple A $10.00 discount is available upon registering for both classes. Please call to register.
